POSITION SUMMARY
The Life Enrichment Director is responsible for creating a vibrant, engaging, and meaningful activity program that supports the social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of residents. This role leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of events and programs for residents and families, while also ensuring each resident has opportunities for connection, purpose, and joy. The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, organized, and enjoys building relationships with older adults. This position requires creativity, flexibility, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to helping residents participate in daily life enrichment opportunities.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Encourage resident participation in activities and assist those who need help attending Plan, coordinate, and implement events and programs for residents and families, primarily on campus Maintain and post the calendar of activities on the bulletin board Coordinate and prepare the monthly newsletter Provide one-on-one activities for residents who prefer not to participate in group events Complete life enrichment assessments for residents Create and maintain life enrichment calendars and newsletters Take attendance at each activity or event Attend resident council meetings and take notes Shop for life enrichment supplies and event needs as necessary Drive community transportation for outings and doctor appointments as needed Gather residents for events and assist them with participation Prepare materials and spaces for activities and special events Coordinate, train, and supervise event volunteers Assist residents with life enrichment activities Prepare and carry out activities that support resident engagement and well-being Perform other duties as assigned by the AdministratorPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Strong interpersonal and communication skills A heart for serving older adults and creating meaningful experiences for residents Ability to stay physically active throughout the day, including walking across campus, assisting with events, and participating in activities Valid Oklahoma driver's license Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for special events and programming Dementia experience preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities and schedulesPHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for extended periods. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to meet the position requirements. Must be able to squat, bend, stretch, walk, and turn. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
