Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to lead engaging programs and foster vibrant community life within our senior living facility. In this role, you will design, coordinate, and implement a wide range of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and needs, promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and leadership will create a lively environment where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired to enjoy each day to the fullest. Duties Develop and execute diverse activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and health conditions, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, fitness classes, arts and crafts sessions, and social gatherings to foster community spirit Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences, histories, and individual needs to personalize activities effectively Collaborate with caregiving staff to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ensure safety during participation Manage scheduling of activities, resources, and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of daily programs Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and program outcomes for continuous improvement Lead team efforts in recreational therapy initiatives that enhance residents' cognitive function, mobility, and emotional health Skills Proven experience in event planning, program development, or recreational therapy within assisted living or nursing home settings Extensive knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care techniques, and senior care best practices Strong communication skills for engaging residents with diverse needs and collaborating effectively with staff and families Ability to coordinate resident events seamlessly while managing schedules efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, planning, and reporting purposes Demonstrated leadership skills in team management and resident rapport building Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in long-term care or home & community care environments Familiarity with aging issues counseling and working with geriatric patients to promote holistic well-being Skilled in assisting residents with ADLs such as mobility support, grooming, or medication reminders when necessary Join us as an Activities Director where your creativity fuels vibrant community engagement! Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
