The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging recreational activities and social interactions. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Collaborate with staff to ensure activities meet the diverse needs of individuals, including those with disabilities or cognitive impairments. Facilitate group activities that promote socialization, physical fitness, and cognitive stimulation. Maintain an organized schedule of events and ensure all materials and resources are prepared in advance. Assess resident participation and satisfaction to continually improve programming. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff regarding activity schedules and individual resident needs. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed during events. Document participation levels and feedback to support ongoing program development. Experience Previous experience in event planning or recreational therapy is preferred. Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is desirable. Experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory care challenges is a plus. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting effectively with residents, families, and team members. Ability to manage schedules efficiently while being flexible to adapt to changing resident needs.
