Recreational Therapist (CTRS Preferred) Outward Bound Community Services is seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide services to children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities through Indiana's Medicaid Waiver program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred Experience or interest in working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and automobile insurance Professional liability insurance A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) is a nationally credentialed professional who uses recreation and leisure activities to help individuals improve independence, social skills, community involvement, physical wellness, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life. This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor position with immediate opportunities for growth. There is currently a significant need for Recreational Therapy services throughout Southern Indiana. As an independent contractor with Outward Bound Community Services, you'll have the opportunity to create individualized services, social groups, adaptive recreation programs, community outings, life skills activities, special interest groups, and other innovative experiences that help individuals achieve meaningful goals. Unlike many community-based positions, you'll have access to our 3,000+ square foot facility in Charlestown. Contractors are welcome to utilize the building for individual services, group activities, social opportunities, and therapeutic programming.

Large community activity space Sensory room Family and quiet room Kitchen Recreation areas Accessible restroom with adult-sized changing table Convenient Charlestown location You may also provide services in individuals' homes and throughout the community based on participant needs, goals, and preferences. This flexibility allows therapists to create meaningful experiences while balancing community-based services with opportunities to utilize our facility to maximize face-to-face client time and reduce unpaid travel. Using our facility allows therapists to: Increase face-to-face client time Reduce unpaid drive time Schedule multiple participants in one location Develop groups and programs more efficiently Build a caseload while utilizing an established community space We are looking for someone who wants to help grow Recreational Therapy services, develop creative programming, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Pay:

$47-$53 per billable hour based on experience and qualifications. Immediate need.
