Position Title:
Coordinator of Fine Arts
Location:
Office of Academics and Administration
Salary/Pay Scale/Days:
Administrative Pay Scale / Grade 34 / 240 Days / 8 Hours
Requirements:
Must hold a Master's degree and be certified by the South Carolina Department of Education in a Fine Arts discipline, including Art, Dance, Music or Theatre. Three years of teaching and/or administrative experience. May require a valid state driver's license.
Description:
This position is responsible for providing strategic leadership and administrative oversight for all fine arts programs districtwide. The coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum and instructional initiatives in music, visual arts, theatre and dance districtwide to ensure alignment with state standards, district goals and best practices. The coordinator develops program budgets and performs related fiscal management and reporting and serves as a key resource and advisor to school leaders, staff and community partners. Performs related professional, supervisory and administrative duties as required. This position is under limited supervision.
