Life Enrichment Director (Activities Director)

Full‑TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a creative, compassionate, and organized Life Enrichment Director (Activities Director) to lead meaningful, resident‑centered activities and engagement programming in our Assisted Living community.

This role focuses on creating enriching daily experiences that support residents' physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual well‑being. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, leading group activities, and designing programs that foster connection, joy, and purpose.

Key Responsibilities. Plan, develop, and maintain weekly and monthly life enrichment and activity calendars. Lead engaging group and one‑on‑one activities based on resident interests and abilities. Design programs that promote cognitive stimulation, physical activity, socialization, spirituality, and recreation. Adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities. Utilize digital engagement tools such as TV‑based programs, music, videos, tablets, and interactive content. Coordinate special events, celebrations, themed programs, and holiday activities. Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment. Document activity participation in accordance with Assisted Living regulations and quality standards. Collaborate with the Executive Director, care team, families, volunteers, and outside partners. Support family engagement events and assist with community tours as needed Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and life enrichment spaces. Ensure all programming complies with state Assisted Living requirements. Qualifications Experience in activities, engagement, recreation, wellness, or life enrichment preferred. Assisted Living or senior living experience a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Creative, enthusiastic, and comfortable leading group activities. Ability to adapt programs for residents with cognitive or physical limitations. Basic comfort with technology (TVs, tablets, playlists, presentations). High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in activities, recreation, or wellness is a plus.
