We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Activities Director to lead our activities program, fostering a sense of community and promoting overall well-being. About the
Role:
As an Activities Director at Levelland Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of activities designed to engage our residents, their families, and our staff. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and attention to detail will be essential in developing and implementing activities that promote socialization, physical and mental stimulation, and overall resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive activities program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our residents Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify and address resident needs and preferences Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and local vendors to source activities and entertainment Recruit and train volunteers to assist with activities and events Monitor and track resident participation and satisfaction with activities Maintain accurate records of activities and participation Develop and manage the activities budget
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in activities, recreational therapy, or a related field High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset Strong knowledge of adult development and aging processes Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Join our team at Levelland Nursing and apply your passion for activities and community building to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
