Activities Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to the interests and needs of seniors, including those with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's and dementia. Duties Develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and health conditions, including memory care and aging issues counseling Coordinate special events, outings, and recreational therapies that promote social engagement and community involvement Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring comfort and safety during participation Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to tailor activities to individual needs and preferences Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced mix of entertainment, exercise, cognitive stimulation, and relaxation Maintain detailed records of resident participation, preferences, and progress for ongoing care planning Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages social interaction among residents of all abilities Qualifications Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living or nursing home environments Background in senior care, memory care, or long-term care settings with familiarity in Alzheimer's and dementia care Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members Knowledge of assisting residents with ADLs such as mobility support, dressing, or medication reminders Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting activities based on residents' evolving needs Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care is highly desirable Compassionate attitude with a genuine passion for enhancing seniors' quality of life through engaging activities Join us to create vibrant experiences that enrich lives! Pay:
