Job Description

Position Summary The Assistant Site Director (ASD) is responsible for supporting the Site Director in the supervision and management of out-of-school time programing and will assume full responsibility for the administration of the site in the absence of the Site Director. The ASD will serve as the site lead in enrichment and activity planning and will work cross-functionally to design and implement creative programing, with a focus on skill building. This position requires work on weekends. Primary Responsibilities Leadership Supports the site director in ensuring that programs and activities meet the State of Virginia licensing requirements and the accreditation standards of the National AfterSchool Association Assumes all responsibilities of the Site Director in the absence of the Site Director, including, but not limited to, site management, conduct of activities, supervision of staff, and communication with appropriate school personnel Manages the morning Campagna Kids program upon request of the Site Director Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with school staff and supports the program in maintaining a visible presence in the school Supports the Site Director in planning of community events and parent involvement activities Enrichment Programing Prepares and implements the curriculum, and enrichment activities focused on STEM or Performing Arts programing Collaborates with Site Director and other team members to recruit new students into enrichment programs Administrative/Other Tracks attendance and snack count data on a daily basis Participates in planning workgroups, committees and special initiatives within the division Attends all scheduled and mandatory meetings and training events as well as special events and activities hosted by Campagna Kids or sponsored by the Campagna Center Maintains all necessary certifications, including, but not limited to, CPR, First Aid, and Virginia Food Managers Certification Makes "reasonable accommodations" to meet children's individual needs, which includes, but is not limited to, changing diapers, assisting with toileting, and cleaning up bodily fluids Commutes between Campagna Kids sites to provide coverage as requested Performs additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the Supervisor Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's Degree, and one year of experience in a child/youth development program setting; or 48 credit hours (12 credits in child related subjects), and one year of experience in a child/youth program development setting; or CDA Credential, and two years' experience in a child/youth development program Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in field related to enrichment specialty and at least one year of experience in a youth development setting Demonstrated commitment to advancing educational achievement, lifelong learning, and positive social development for children, teens, and adults.
