Job Description
Director of Life Enrichment At Tall Oaks Assisted Living, we believe every day should offer opportunities for connection, purpose, and joy. We are seeking an energetic, compassionate Director of Life Enrichment to create engaging programs that enhance the physical, social, cognitive, and spiritual well-being of our assisted living and memory care residents. If you're passionate about enriching the lives of older adults and enjoy creating meaningful experiences, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do Plan and lead engaging activities, events, and outings for assisted living and memory care residents Develop and maintain monthly activity calendars that promote resident engagement and wellness Create opportunities for lifelong learning, social connection, fitness, entertainment, and spiritual enrichment Encourage resident participation and gather feedback to continually improve programming Collaborate with nursing and care staff to support each resident's individual interests and abilities Supervise and support activity assistants Welcome new residents and help introduce them to community life and activities Safely transport residents for outings and appointments using the community vehicle Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners Attend required training and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in activities, recreation, life enrichment, or senior living preferred Experience working in a memory care setting and with residents living with dementia strongly preferred Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate with a resident-centered approach Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record NCCAP Certification including Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and Activity Professional Certified (APC) preferred
