Job Description
The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Soldotna, AK for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Active RN license valid in Alaska Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program Current
BLS CPR/AED
certification Knowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulations Experience working with a pediatric population Medication administration Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and exercise clinical judgment
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Student Care individualized care for a student Perform screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, BMI, blood pressure) Dispense medications according to physician orders and policy Respond to medical emergencies (falls, allergic reactions, fainting, injuries) Communicate with parents/guardians or family about health concerns Develop individualized health care plans (IHCPs) for chronic conditions
