Emergency/Acute Care Requirements:
Current RN license (AK or compact as required). BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred. 1-2 years minimum acute care, emergency, or critical care nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Effective verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
Core Responsibilities:
Triage, assess, and continuously monitor patients with acute or emergent conditions. Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments safely and accurately. Rapidly respond to medical emergencies and implement appropriate interventions. Provide clear patient and family education on diagnosis, treatments, and follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary team members. Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation in patient records. Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards.
