2 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for a PCU/Telemetry role requiring 2 years of cardiac monitoring experience and an active AL or compact RN license. Details Work in the PCU (Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown) at a hospital Also requires MS/Tele and Telemetry work setting experience Patient ratio of 1:5 Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Float to MedSurg units required Every other weekend required Requirements Active RN license (Alabama or Compact) required Current certifications:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

(preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent experience required Charting system experience required (any EMR) Ability to start IVs and manage Heparin protocols Experience managing cardiac drips without titration Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with Rapid Response/Code teams Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration Experience with central and peripheral line care/management Experience with non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use Additional Information Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response care in a telemetry/stepdown setting Must work at least one holiday: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day First-time travelers are welcome to apply Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for this travel position Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 7 days Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a different pay rate Hospital housing is available
