Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to provide specialized care for patients recovering from anesthesia in a PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) environment. This contract opportunity offers a meaningful way to bring your critical thinking skills and dedication to patient well-being to a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of recent PACU nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong knowledge of post-operative and anesthesia recovery protocols Effective communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and manage patients emerging from anesthesia, recognizing and responding promptly to any complications Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols Perform frequent and thorough patient assessments, documenting vital signs, pain assessments, and recovery status Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver cohesive, high-quality patient care Maintain accurate records and ensure a safe recovery environment
