Job Description
Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced ER Nurse for a leading hospital in Birmingham, AL. In this on-site role, you will deliver rapid assessment, stabilization, and high-quality care to diverse emergency patients in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include triage, IV and medication administration, cardiac and vital sign monitoring, wound care, and thorough EHR documentation. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team while supporting a compassionate, people-first culture. Responsibilities Perform rapid triage, assessment, and stabilization of ER patients of varying acuity levels. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and hospital protocols. Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status, escalating changes promptly. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement care plans. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHR. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions. Maintain readiness for emergencies including codes, trauma cases, and rapid responses. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards within the ER. Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and open communication. Participate in ongoing clinical training, skills development, and quality initiatives.
