Responsibilities Provide direct emergency nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced ER setting on night shifts Triage patients, assess conditions, and implement appropriate nursing interventions Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and hospital protocols Monitor vital signs, recognize and respond to changes in patient status, and escalate concerns promptly Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality, efficient care Document assessments, care, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards within the emergency department Support floating and cross-coverage needs within the ER as required by the facility Communicate effectively with Advantis Medical Staffing for assignment coordination and issue resolution Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage assessment IV insertion and management Medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring Wound care and stabilization Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Critical thinking and rapid decision-making Interdisciplinary teamwork and communication
