Qualifications:

Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum 1 year of psychiatric or mental health nursing experience In-depth understanding of psychiatric disorders, crisis intervention, and psychotropic medications BLS certification required Strong critical thinking and de-escalation skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric patients Execute physician orders and coordinate multidisciplinary care Administer medications and monitor patients for therapeutic and side effects Provide emotional support and education to patients and families Maintain safety protocols and conduct risk assessments Lead or participate in group and individual therapeutic interventions Document all care provided and report changes in patient status promptly
