Healthcare Provider Certification Full Job Description Position Summary:
Supports market-based onboarding initiatives by developing, standardizing, and implementing core education for new hires across assigned facilities and service lines. Partners with clinical, operational, and education leaders to ensure onboarding content aligns with best practices, organizational standards, and role-specific needs. Helps create scalable education programs, supports consistent application of core onboarding education, and assists with market-level implementation to ensure new team members transition safely and effectively into practice.Responsibilities:
Designs and maintains standardized, evidence-based onboarding curricula for new hires across the assigned market. Provides general and specialty-specific education to prepare team members to be safe, efficient, and competent practitioners. Facilitates onboarding courses and delivers formal education to nursing, allied, and/or operational staff. Partners with site educators, leaders, and operational stakeholders to identify learning needs and close education gaps. Assist in implementing and reinforcing standardized core onboarding education for all staff. Support orientation and transition activities for newly hired staff as needed. Equips site PDPs and preceptors with training resources, facilitator guides, and coaching support to deliver standardized onboarding content with fidelity. Coordinates onboarding plans, timelines, and readiness activities across facilities, units, and role groups. Integrates adult learning principles and competency-based education into all program design and delivery. Monitors market trends, practice changes, and site educators feedback to adjust core onboarding content and specialty courses so they remain responsive to evolving site needs and best practice. Evaluates program effectiveness and reports continuing professional development data, trends, and outcomes to stakeholders. Develops critical thinking and clinical reasoning opportunities through curriculum, simulation, and consolidation-of-learning activities. Aligns onboarding content with organizational policy, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS, ANCC). Participates in committees and initiatives that influence organizational strategic priorities related to workforce development. Participates in professional development opportunities that enhance his/her effectiveness in the role. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Serves as a resource and consultant to leaders and staff on onboarding processes, competency, and education standards. Develops supplementary learning materials, job aids, and reference tools to support onboarding. Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, patient rights, and standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Participates in process improvement and other education initiatives as assigned. Maintains compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Education/Training Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Licensure/Certification Maintains current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama. Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. National specialty certification in Nursing Professional Development, Certified Nurse Educator or area of clinical practice required. Experience Five (5) years of acute care hospital clinical experience required. Two (2) years of experience in an education role is required.
