Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal nursing role in a fast-paced operating room environment, providing top-quality care during surgical procedures. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in operating room protocols and patient safety measures, ready to make an immediate impact.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time hours on a contract basis
Key Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license At least 1 year of recent experience in an operating room setting preferred BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and perioperative assessments Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize effectively, and maintain composure in high-stress situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for upcoming surgeries, ensuring a sterile and organized environment Support surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures by anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments or supplies Monitor patient status throughout surgical interventions, responding rapidly to any changes Conduct comprehensive patient assessments pre- and post-operatively Accurately document all patient care activities and procedural details according to regulatory and institutional policies Maintain compliance with safety protocols and infection control practices Participate in ongoing professional development related to perioperative nursing
