Job Description

Advantis Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse Med Surg to deliver high-quality care in acute care hospitals nationwide. In this role, you'll manage adult med-surg patients, perform assessments, administer medications and IVs, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. You'll document thoroughly in EMRs, educate patients and families, and uphold rigorous safety and infection control standards. As a travel nurse, you'll adapt quickly to new facilities, embrace a collaborative, people-first culture, and receive strong support from Advantis for each assignment. Responsibilities Provide direct medical-surgical nursing care to diverse adult patient populations in acute care settings. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor vitals, and respond to changes in condition. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols. Document care, assessments, and outcomes accurately in the facility's EMR system. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital compliance standards at all times. Adapt quickly to new hospital environments, policies, and workflows as a travel nurse. Communicate proactively with Advantis Medical Staffing and facility leadership regarding scheduling, assignments, and any issues. Support a culture of compassion, integrity, and high-quality patient care on each assignment.
