Requirements:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of one year of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing Current BLS certification Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with mental health regulations and documentation standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess the mental, emotional, and physical health needs of patients Develop and implement individualized care plans Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects Provide therapeutic interventions, de-escalation, and patient education Document care thoroughly in electronic health records Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and families Advocate for patient safety and dignity at all times Respond promptly to psychiatric emergencies Participate in treatment planning and discharge processes
