Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Contract Take your nursing career to the next level by supporting a dynamic cardiac care team as a Cath Lab Registered Nurse. In this valuable role, you'll work directly with physicians and cardiac technologists to assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Your expertise will help provide the highest standard of care to patients and ensure smooth operation within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of recent Cath Lab nursing experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong critical thinking and communication skills Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure Familiarity with hemodynamics and cardiovascular medications
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring safety and comfort Monitor vital signs, manage sedation, and document throughout the procedure Assist physicians with interventional procedures, including angioplasties and stent placements Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
