Category Nursing - RN-ICU Job Type Contract Experienced registered nurses with backgrounds in ICU, Cardiac Stepdown, and Progressive Care are encouraged to apply for a rewarding contract nursing role. This opportunity provides a dynamic environment for clinicians driven to deliver exceptional care for critically ill and cardiac patients, working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current and unrestricted RN license Demonstrated proficiency in high-acuity settings such as ICU, Cardiac Stepdown, or Progressive Care/PCU Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments BLS and ACLS certifications required Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex cardiac and critical illnesses Administer medications, manage IV drips, and monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to create and implement care plans Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions, including participating in rapid response and code situations Perform accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies Adhere to established protocols to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards
