Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with a background in Operating Room care. This contract role is ideal for experienced professionals eager to make a significant impact in a dynamic surgical setting.
Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted RN license. Proven experience working in an Operating Room (OR) environment. Competency in circulating and scrubbing for various surgical procedures. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Strong communication and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to evolving priorities.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with requirements reflective of the needs of a busy OR (details to be discussed during interview).
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention. Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterile and in proper working order. Collaborate efficiently with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists. Safeguard patient safety and adhere strictly to infection control protocols throughout operative procedures. Document all aspects of patient care accurately within electronic health record systems. Monitor patients' vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes in status or intraoperative emergencies. Participate in postoperative patient assessments and ensure smooth transitions to recovery teams.
