Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to support the Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit. In this specialized environment, you will provide vital care for patients with complex cardiac conditions, utilizing advanced clinical skills and a strong commitment to patient outcomes.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts Contract position
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license Demonstrated experience in Stepdown or Cardiac Stepdown units Prior experience with cardiovascular or cardiac patients is strongly preferred Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor, assess, and treat patients recovering from cardiac events or surgeries in the stepdown setting Perform cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring and respond proactively to changes in patient status Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced cardiac support equipment under unit protocols Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and families to develop patient-centered plans of care Document care accurately and timely in compliance with hospital policies Educate patients and loved ones on cardiac health and recovery processes to optimize outcomes Support a culture of safety and advocacy throughout the patient's journey This contract opportunity offers valuable experience in a leading cardiovascular recovery environment.
