Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a critical nursing role supporting safe, efficient surgical care. As a key member of the perioperative team, you'll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nursing professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each patient. This contract role invites dedicated registered nurses with Operating Room expertise to contribute their skills in a rewarding environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position (assignment length discussed at interview)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN license Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience Familiarity with perioperative procedures, surgical instrument handling, and aseptic techniques Strong critical thinking, organizational, and assessment skills Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-stakes situations Team player with excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures Monitor patient safety, comfort, and vital signs throughout surgery Prepare the OR with required instruments and supplies Maintain a sterile field and accurately document intraoperative details Collaborate closely with all surgical team members Follow strict infection prevention protocols and hospital policies Provide post-operative assessment and support as needed Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies
