- Healthcare Provider (CPR) or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Currently enrolled in a practical nursing program or a student currently enrolled in a professional nursing program, or previous experience working with patients, or one quarter of clinical experience as a student nurse, or successful completion of a nurse aide course, or experience from a related health care field preferred.
- Demonstrates behaviors necessary for age-specific care and knowledge of decision making process for all ages of population(s) served.
- Documentation is in compliance with hospital policy and procedure and other regulatory agencies.
- Effectively understands and operates basic equipment used routinely on the unit.
- Performs basic patient care attending to physical and emotional needs of the patient in a family oriented environment.
- Requires regular contact with other people in or out of the department, but of a very routine nature, requiring courtesy, tact and diplomacy.
