Job Description

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel ICU RN to deliver exceptional critical care at leading healthcare facilities nationwide. In this role, you'll assess, monitor, and manage high-acuity patients, collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure safe, evidence-based care. You will adapt quickly to new clinical settings, maintain accurate documentation, and support patients and families through complex conditions. Responsibilities Provide direct critical care to ICU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care Continuously monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamics, and complex equipment parameters Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment per provider orders and protocols Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans Communicate effectively with patients and families, offering education, support, and updates on condition and treatment Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and follow hospital and regulatory standards Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives in each facility Rapidly adapt to new ICU environments, policies, and EMR systems at different assignment locations Respond to emergencies and participate in codes, utilizing advanced life support skills Participate in ongoing professional development and competency maintenance Required Skills Critical care nursing Ventilator management Hemodynamic monitoring Titration of vasoactive drips Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) ECG interpretation Central line and arterial line care Infection control and patient safety Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Travel nursing adaptability
