Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic surgical environment where your expertise in perioperative nursing and specialized skills in the OR will make an immediate impact. This contract position invites experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in surgical services—particularly those with robust robotic surgery experience—to provide vital patient care across six fully operational OR suites and a cysto room equipped with advanced sterile processing facilities.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week
Qualifications:
Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience (including 2 years in a non-travel capacity preferred) Prior experience in an operating room environment with circulating responsibilities Demonstrated proficiency in robotic surgery for General, GYN, and Urology procedures Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (current and valid) Willingness to consider first-time travelers who meet experience requirements Experience with core surgical specialties: General, GYN, Urology, and Vascular (Ortho, Ped Dental, Podiatry, and ENT a plus)
Role Responsibilities:
Circulate in a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, ensuring optimal care and safety throughout surgical procedures Facilitate surgical cases in all main specialty areas, with emphasis on robotic, vascular, and GYN Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary surgical teams, maintaining effective communication from pre-op through post-op phases Adhere strictly to sterilization protocols and support Central Sterile operations for safe surgery environments Deliver documentation and patient handoff responsibilities with accuracy and detail
