Responsibilities Wound Care Specialist :

Assess and treat patients with wounds, including acute and chronic wounds, pressure ulcers, and surgical wounds.

Infection Preventionist :

Identify and implement strategies to prevent hospital-acquired infections, develop and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures, and monitor and report on infection rates. Provide education and training to patients, families, and staff on wound care and infection prevention best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform routine assessments, monitoring, and evaluations of patients with wounds and infections. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and reduce readmissions. Requirements Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Arkansas.
