Summary:
Family Connects home visitors are Registered Nurses, providing health and psychosocial assessments of newborn, mother, and family beginning at 3 weeks postpartum. Nurse visitors are trained to provide systematic education in response to parent queries and nurse observation in areas of possible difficulties in adapting to the newborn (e.g., breastfeeding, support for "baby blues" and others.) The program is designed for universal community coverage, all families with newborns in Union County, AR. or Magnolia, AR. are eligible.

Education:
Associate degree in nursing is required.
Experience:
Experience in working with or providing services to children and families. A working knowledge and understanding of patient/client confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations are essential.
Other Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out moderately-complex, multi-step instructions and make appropriate independent decisions as necessary.
Licenses/Certificate:
Unencumbered Arkansas or multi-state compact registered nurse license Current valid driver's license. This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
