Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and sterile processing techniques. Monitor patients' physiological responses using telemetry and ventilator support; manage airway and acute pain control with evidence-based practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in emergency medicine, ICU, trauma medicine (Level I & II Trauma Center experience), neonatal resuscitation procedures, or hospice & palliative medicine to deliver comprehensive care. Provide patient education on health coaching topics like geriatrics, behavioral health, family planning, or chronic disease management while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), neonatal intensive care units (NICU), or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms for medical documentation and coding (ICD-9/10; CPT). Critical care experience in trauma centers or Level I & II trauma centers is highly desirable. Skilled in handling complex cases involving infectious disease care, dialysis procedures, cardiology (cardiac catheterization), or respiratory support including ventilator management. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in settings like assisted living or memory care is preferred. Knowledge of laboratory procedures such as specimen collection/processing and phlebotomy enhances patient assessment capabilities. Ability to perform advanced nursing procedures including aseptic technique, ostomy care, wound suturing, and post-operative discharge planning.
