Overview We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse every Friday to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess experience in perioperative nursing, demonstrating proficiency in aseptic techniques, patient assessment, and surgical support across. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic ASC environment, supporting patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly valued, along with familiarity in managing complex cases involving trauma, ICU, or outpatient surgeries. Candidates with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and experience with sterile processing or medical documentation are preferred. Duties Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Prepare operating rooms by ensuring aseptic techniques and sterile environments are maintained throughout procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological parameters before, during, and after surgery; perform assessments to identify acute pain or complications. Administer medications and injections following proper protocols; manage IV infusions and catheter care as needed. Document all patient care activities accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families regarding postoperative care plans, discharge instructions, and medication management. Maintain strict infection control standards and aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections. Participate in ongoing training related to new surgical procedures such as dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments when applicable. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state licensure. OR nursing experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with

ICD-10/ICD-9

coding and CPT coding preferred. Certifications including BLS and ACLS required; additional certifications in trauma medicine, infection control, or specialized surgical procedures are advantageous. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation related to perioperative care. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and patient education.
