1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for a day shift position in an inpatient behavioral health unit in White Hall, AR, requiring a minimum of 3 years of acute behavioral health experience and Cerner proficiency. Details Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (BHU IP Unit 1) within a specialty hospital setting Adult and geriatric psychiatric patient population with diagnoses including MDD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, SUD, and Dementia Unit consists of 12 geriatric beds and 24 adult beds Patient ratio of 1:6 Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Every other weekend required (24 hours) No on-call requirements Floating required between adult and geriatric behavioral health units
EMR:
Cerner (experience required) Requirements Active AR RN license or valid Compact RN license currently in hand Current AHA BLS certification required Handle With Care (HWC) certification required Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute behavioral health setting Expertise in crisis stabilization, including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention Cerner EMR experience required Associate degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration AHA certifications required for consideration Additional Information Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting Milieu management experience utilizing the therapeutic milieu model is preferred Navy blue scrubs required; clothing with hoods (jackets, hoodies) is not permitted Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
