  • RN-ER Job Type Travel A travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in emergency care is needed at a healthcare center serving a culturally diverse, expansive region in Northwestern Arizona.
This facility operates as a referral center for multiple Native American tribes on the Colorado Plateau, offering a wide range of inpatient/outpatient services including emergency, surgical, dental, ophthalmology, orthopedics, OB/GYN, and more. The hospital environment is dynamic and culturally enriched by the diverse community it serves, including Navajo, Hopi, Southern Paiute, Anglo, Hispanic, and African American populations.
Responsibilities:
Provide professional nursing care aligned with physician orders and hospital standards. Work independently to manage nursing assignments for patients across all age groups. Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing services while adhering to hospital policies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, medical officers, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain all required certifications and comply with ongoing training mandates. Required Certifications (must be current and maintained throughout employment): Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • American Heart Association Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • within 1 year of hire Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
  • within 1 year of hire Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • within 1 year of hire National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • within 6 months of hire Emergency Severity Index Level 5
  • within 3 months of hire Patient Sitter Competency Training

Nestled on the Colorado Plateau at elevations between 4,400 to 7,000 feet, the region presents a semi-desert climate with breathtaking natural scenery. The local community is rich in Native American heritage, with a mixture of Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute cultures, alongside Anglo, Hispanic, and African American influences. This unique cultural blend creates a rewarding and educational working environment.
Travel Details & Housing:
Travel assignment located in Cameron, Arizona. The facility accepts RN licenses from any U.S. state; an Arizona RN license is not required. Orientation is offered every two weeks. COVID and Flu vaccination exemptions may be accepted following submission of a declination form. Housing applications must be submitted two weeks prior to assignment start; shared housing is available at $600 per month, without options for pets or family members.
