Job Description

ColoVAX is seeking a Mobile Public Health / Primary Care Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Navajo Public Health Nursing Program (NPHN) with mobile health services in the areas around Kayenta Health Center, Inscription House Health Clinic, and Navajo Mountain Community Health Center. Our goal is to support NPHN's mission by providing friendly, reliable RN's who uphold the highest standards of public health nursing and are excited to strengthen rural Navajo Nation community wellness through culturally competent care. This role offers an opportunity to work directly within tribal public health systems delivering meaningful, community-centered care. Position Overview The Mobile Public Health / Primary Care RN will provide community-based mobile nursing services focused on prevention, education, continuity of care, and interdisciplinary collaboration. ColoVAX employees promote sustainable health outcomes and improve access to essential public health services.

Clinical Responsibilities RNs may support:

Medical referrals and care coordination Child and family health services Immunization programs Chronic and acute condition management Community health assessments Health promotion and patient education School health screenings Community event medical standbys Emergency Response Support All staff are prepared to assist with: Community events (fairs, marathons, public gatherings) Public health emergencies and disaster response activities Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Required License & Certification:

Job Type:

Full-time Expected hours: Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Compensation We are currently recruiting a team of 5 RNs under 50-week initial assignments with a pay package approximately equivalent to a $64/hour traditional taxed position .

Taxable Hourly Rate:

$20/hr

• 40hr =$800 / week

Tax-Free Per Diem:

$219/day (5 workdays) + $74/day (2 days off) = $1,243 / week Estimated Weekly Take-Home Tax-Free Stipend +

Taxed Base:

$1,912 after all tax deductions

The total package provides net pay approximately equivalent to a $64/hour traditional taxed position.

Secondary preference is extended to non-Navajo spouses of enrolled Navajo Nation members who meet statutory residency and documentation requirements.
