Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Perioperative Services RN to join our surgical team in Lake Havasu City, AZ. As a vital member of the surgical and procedural team, the Perioperative Services RN serves as a patient advocate and coordinates care throughout the perioperative experience, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes. This position works collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and other members of the surgical team to provide exceptional care before, during, and after procedures. Primary Responsibilities Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Serve as a patient advocate before, during, and after surgery or procedures. Ensure all required surgical safety checks are completed before and throughout each procedure. Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure appropriate equipment, instruments, trays, and supplies are available and in proper working order. Develop and implement individualized perioperative plans of care. Perform appropriate nursing interventions to maintain patient safety and stability throughout the perioperative process. Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and pre- and post-operative care. Complete accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of perioperative nursing care. Identify and report patient safety concerns, adverse events, and near misses through the appropriate reporting channels. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with applicable requirements. Promote collaborative and professional relationships among all members of the interdisciplinary care team. Provide age-appropriate, culturally competent, and ethical nursing care within established standards of practice.
