Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a background in Medical-Surgical Oncology and experience administering chemotherapy for an assignment in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for nurses who possess a strong foundation in oncology care and are adept in delivering high-quality treatment to patients undergoing chemotherapy regimens. While a chemotherapy certification is not required, hands-on experience with chemo administration is essential.
Schedule Details:
Five 8-hour shifts per week (5x8's) 40 hours guaranteed weekly 13-week duration
Qualifications:
Active Arizona RN license or a compact state RN license is required Proven experience as an RN in a medical-surgical oncology setting Prior hands-on experience with chemotherapy administration (chemo certification not required) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Empathy, attention to detail, and an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team BLS certification required; additional oncology-related certifications preferred
Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards Monitor patients closely for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions Deliver comprehensive, compassionate care and education to oncology patients and their families Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Maintain clear, accurate medical records and contribute to a positive patient experience This opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals battling cancer while collaborating with dedicated professionals.
