Key Qualifications:

Current and active RN license in California Experience or interest in school nursing strongly preferred Knowledge of pediatric care, chronic condition management, and emergency response Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents Ability to maintain accurate and confidential health records CPR/BLS certification required Organizational skills and a compassionate, student-focused mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care for students with chronic and acute medical needs Administer prescribed medications and treatments during the school day Monitor student health status, respond to illnesses, and assess injuries Develop or support individualized health care plans for students with specific medical requirements Deliver health education for students and staff regarding wellness, disease prevention, and self-care Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations Communicate with parents and faculty regarding student health concerns as needed This role offers the fulfilling experience of working in a dynamic educational environment, while contributing positively to student success and safety.
