Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students, families, and educators within a collaborative school environment near Aromas, CA. As a Credentialed School Nurse, you will serve PreK and K-12 populations, fostering wellness and providing essential services across multiple campuses throughout the week. This important position offers the stability of a 40-hour workweek, working with the Aromas/San Juan area and broader school communities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license with valid School Nurse Services Credential Previous experience working as a school nurse, particularly with PreK or K-12 students Strong knowledge of pediatric health, immunization protocols, and IEP/504 requirements Skilled in communication with students, parents, educators, and administrators Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a health and educational team Reliable organizational and recordkeeping abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Manage daily health office needs, including first aid, medication administration, and health screenings Develop and update individualized health care plans for students with specific medical needs Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, and families to ensure student safety and well-being Monitor and maintain required health records and documentation according to state guidelines Participate in student IEP or 504 meetings as a health expert and advocate Promote healthy practices, provide health-related education to students and staff, and respond to public health issues as they arise You'll find yourself valued as a resource and advocate, helping create a nurturing atmosphere that supports learning and well-being for students and staff.
