Amergis Healthcare Staffing - 3.4 Cerritos, CA Job Details Seasonal | Full-time $1,020 a week 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications LVN First aid Collaboration with other professionals for student support Health status assessment Full Job Description Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - School-Based | Summer School & 2026-2027 School Year Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide nursing support to students in school-based settings throughout the East and South Los Angeles areas during summer school, with opportunities to continue throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity for LVNs who are passionate about working with children and adolescents while enjoying a consistent Monday-Friday schedule that follows the school calendar. Position Highlights Summer School Assignment with continuation into the 2026-2027 school year Opportunities throughout the East and South LA areas Monday-Friday schedule School-day hours Weekly pay Benefits available for eligible employees Supportive educational environment Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing services to students in accordance with physician orders, individualized healthcare plans, and district policies Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Monitor and document student health status Respond to student health concerns and medical emergencies Assist students with specialized healthcare needs, including feeding tubes, tracheostomy care, seizure monitoring, diabetes management, and other medical supports as needed Collaborate with school nurses, teachers, administrators, therapists, and families Maintain accurate and timely documentation Promote student health, safety, and participation in the educational setting Follow all district, state, and Amergis policies and procedures Qualifications Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing Current CPR/BLS certification Pediatric, school-based, or special education experience required Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings Why Work with Amergis?
