Minimum 5 Years of Acute Critical Care Experience Required About the Role We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro/Trauma ICU for a 13-week contract position in Chico, California. This role supports a 12-bed Level II Trauma Neuro/Trauma Surgical ICU with a 2:1 patient ratio. The RN must have extensive acute critical care and Level II trauma experience and be comfortable caring for complex neuro/trauma patients requiring ICP monitoring, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), and lumbar drains . Floating to other critical care, telemetry, and medical-surgical units is required based on staffing needs. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for high-acuity neuro, trauma, and surgical ICU patients. Monitor and manage patients requiring ICP monitoring, CRRT, lumbar drains, and other advanced critical care interventions. Assess patient conditions, recognize clinical deterioration, administer prescribed treatments, and implement appropriate nursing interventions. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Epic. Float to Cardiovascular, Telemetry, ICU/CCU, or Medical-Surgical units as required based on patient care and staffing needs. Requirements Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License Required. Minimum 5 Years of Acute Critical Care Nursing Experience Required. Level II Trauma Critical Care Experience Required. Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required. Epic Charting Experience and Previous Travel Nursing Experience Required; Must Be Willing to Float and Provide Required Holiday Coverage. The Neuro/Trauma ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-acuity critical care to complex neurological, trauma, and surgical patients.Benefits
