Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care by performing physical examinations, assessing vital signs, and developing individualized care plans. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict aseptic techniques and medical documentation standards. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes. Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and imaging procedures like sonography or CT scans when applicable. Manage acute pain and critical conditions by implementing appropriate interventions in emergency medicine, ICU, or trauma settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency rooms, or specialty units such as cardiology or ophthalmology to ensure seamless patient care. Support discharge planning and case management efforts by coordinating follow-up care, educating patients on medication administration and lifestyle modifications. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to safeguard patient privacy and safety. Qualifications Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, long-term care facilities, or specialized units like neonatal or pediatric intensive care (PICU). Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology necessary for accurate patient assessment and medication administration. Skilled in IV insertion, catheterization (urinary and vascular), suturing techniques, ventilator management, and aseptic procedures. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine is a plus. Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively in trauma centers or urgent care settings while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or specialized training in occupational health or infectious disease care are advantageous.
