Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Step into a vital nursing role where your expertise in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) ensures patients receive high-quality, attentive care during their recovery. This contract position is ideal for dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) with PACU experience looking to make a meaningful difference in a supportive clinical environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active, unencumbered RN license. At least one year of recent nursing experience in a PACU or similar acute care setting. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort. Assess vital signs, manage post-operative pain, and respond rapidly to any changes in patient condition. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal care. Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and discharge instructions. Complete accurate, timely patient documentation according to facility protocols. Adhere strictly to infection control and patient privacy standards.
