Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a dynamic Operating Room environment where your expertise and clinical judgment play a vital role in supporting surgical teams and patient care. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Operating Room to deliver high-quality perioperative care and help ensure positive surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to facilitate safe and efficient operations Monitor and assess patient status, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to infection control standards Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians Document patient care activities and responses in accordance with regulatory protocols Support and reassure patients and families throughout the surgical process Participate in team briefings, post-operative assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Active RN license, in good standing Minimum of 1 year recent Operating Room RN experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional perioperative certifications are a plus) Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures Ability to work efficiently in high-stress situations Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
