Examples of surgeries performed at our center include, but are not limited both adult and pediatric patients for the following: orthopedic, plastic, interventional nephrology, ocular, ENT, GI, podiatry, peripheral nerve, pain management, vascular, oral, and general surgery procedures. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients emerging from surgical procedures, ensuring stability and safety during recovery. Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and neurological status Administer medications, including IV, PO, ocular, etc. Pain management treatments including opioids. Assess patient condition through physical examinations, physiological knowledge, and diagnostic evaluation to identify any complications early. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized discharge plans or transfer protocols. Manage and monitor patients' airways and perform airway management procedures as needed during critical moments. Document all patient care activities accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Skills Prior bedside or PACU experience is highly valued. Skilled in IV insertion, and foley catheter instertions preferred.
