Qualifications & Experience:

Valid California RN license or Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required Prior experience working with children or adolescents in a school, camp, or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Current CPR/BLS certification Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families Capable of working independently and prioritizing multiple health concerns throughout the school day Familiarity with state immunization policies, care plan development, and emergency protocols

Responsibilities:

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to students with acute or chronic health needs Conduct health assessments, administer medications or treatments, and maintain accurate health records Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating further care as needed Support IEP/504 teams by participating in meetings and contributing to student health plans Educate students and staff on healthy practices, hygiene, and disease prevention Liaise with healthcare providers, families, and school staff to promote student wellness and safety Monitor and manage communicable disease cases according to school procedures and public health guidelines Discover the satisfaction of guiding young people and supporting staff health in an inspiring educational setting.
