Job Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at American River Hospice Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients, monitoring their health, and documenting their medical history. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
WE ARE IN SEARCH OF AN EVENING LVN
(3:30pm - Midnight )
Responsibilities:
Administer medication, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed by physicians or healthcare providers Monitor and document patients' vital signs and medical history Develop and maintain patient care plans with input from physicians and other healthcare professionals Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and treatment options Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans Follow proper infection control procedures Document patient care and progress in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) in good standing with the state board of nursing Minimum of 2-3 years for Hospice Experience Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and highly encourage LVNs of all backgrounds to apply.
