Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - Cath Lab Job Type Travel Experience the vibrant community of Elk Grove, CA, while advancing your nursing career as a travel RN in a dynamic Cath Lab setting. This opportunity places you in Northern California, just minutes from Sacramento's thriving arts, food, and outdoor scene—offering a blend of professional growth and enriching adventures during your off-hours. Working as a Cath Lab RN in this setting means gaining valuable exposure to a high-acuity cardiac environment with diverse procedures, from diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath to advanced TAVR and Mitraclip cases. You'll collaborate alongside other expert professionals, deepening your skills in both nursing and scrub roles while adapting to different workplace practices and leadership styles.
Schedule/Hours:
3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00am-7:30pm) On-call one night per week and up to every other weekend Floor-specific orientation provided
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience Active California RN license, BLS, and ACLS required Scrub experience highly preferred—be ready to discuss your scrub skills and case types Must not have been employed by CommonSpirit affiliates (including CHI/Dignity) in the past year unless PRN via outside vendor Two supervisory references: one within the last 12 months, another within 3 years Ability to pass the DYs (or Relias) dysrhythmia exam as required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-level care in a busy, 3-room Cath Lab performing advanced cardiac procedures (3000+ cases annually) Support STEMI and high-acuity cardiology cases, including interventions using Rotablator, IVUS, Shockwave, Impella, and Balloon Pump Collaborate with board-certified Intensivists, 24/7 RT, pharmacy, and IV teams Utilize Cerner and Merge Hemodynamics EMR systems Maintain readiness for on-call responsibilities and weekend/holiday coverage
