Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment supporting a float pool. Nurses will be first to float and will not be assigned to one specific unit. The assignment includes floating between various Med/Surg and Med/Tele units at facilities in Fairfield and Vacaville. Nurses will not float between the two facilities during the same shift. Key Responsibilities Provide safe, effective, and quality nursing care to assigned patients. Assess patients' physical and psychosocial conditions and develop individualized care plans. Implement, evaluate, and modify nursing interventions as needed. Administer medications and perform appropriate nursing skills. Educate patients and families regarding treatment and healthcare needs. Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and ancillary staff. Delegate tasks according to scope of practice and competency. Maintain accurate nursing documentation and facilitate safe patient handoffs. Advocate for patients and support informed healthcare decisions. Provide culturally competent and age-appropriate care. Support patient satisfaction and assist with complaint resolution when needed. Float between Med/Surg and Med/Tele units as assigned. Requirements Minimum 3 years of acute-care RN experience. Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program. ADN or BSN accepted. Active California RN license. Current AHA BLS certification. Tele experience required. $65.00 - $67.32 per hour
